During the taping of this episode somebody snuck in a color camera and filmed bits and pieces of the episode. The footage is the only color footage of the Tropicana and the Ricardo's apartment. The footage can be found strung together with the actual episode on the I Love Lucy seasons 7, 8, & 9 DVD.

This is the first episode in which Vivian Vance does not appear. This episode is a remake of Pilot (1951) in which the characters of "Fred Mertz" and "Ethel Mertz" were yet to be created. In this episode, Fred Mertz, acted by William Frawley was Ricky's agent, just this time. The agent was originally played by Jerry Hausner.
