Lucille Ball got into an argument with the director of this episode. The director wanted Bobby the milkman to walk across the bed instead of around it as he was running away from Mr. Foster. Lucy, however, thought it made no sense for Bobby to run across the bed. Producer Jess Oppenheimer had to be called to set to settle the argument and he ultimately sided with Lucy.
Bob Jellison, who plays the milkman, would later appear in several of the Hollywood installments as Bobby the bellhop.
In the opening scene, Ricky is reading the February 12, 1952 edition of The New York Times. This episode was filmed three days later.
