Definitely a good episode I love her swoon yell for Ricky. She looks beautiful as a brunette.

Ricky basically tells Lucy, "You wanna help me? Dunt help me!"

Warning: Spoilers
Lucy takes on the persona of the "Maharincess of Franistan" to get Ricky some publicity as her favorite singer and bandleader. Lucy of course must make an appearance as the fictional Maharaja's daughter, leading to another classic "I Love Lucy" moment. Considering that the first season of "I Love Lucy" had way more of a count of episodes than any other sitcom ever, the fresh ideas that come even towards the end of the season are superb. One thing that I noticed though is that the left side wall of Ricky's club is the exact same wall of the Ricardo's apartment. But the site of Lucy in her Arabic get up, complete with nose ring, is hysterical, and it's amazing that Ricky didn't see through her right away. Lucy takes advantage of the fact that she didn't have eyebrows anymore after having had them shaved off during her starlight years to have other brows painted on.

This is a hard-to-watch episode...

Lucille Ball is almost always hilarious, but this is pretty cringy! The dialogue, the costume, the ridiculousness of it is just a bit over the top. It's one thing to be slapstick but this just made the four of them look completely stupid and not in a good way. The only savior is the bit of humor in-between all the idiocy.

Probably my least fave episode I thought it was boring and silly. And of course Ricky would have recognized hee.

Painfully unfunny

There is a cringing aspect to this one. I'm not sure if it creepy or just stupid. I can't imagine what the writers were thinking on this one . The end too when they scare Lucy and Ethel half to death after a ridiculous but well intended effort to help Ricky just seemed to go too far.

The idea was clever enough but poor execution.

Yes I know it's best not to overthink what's going on or take it too seriously. Certainly I have felt at times we need to lighten up but not every episode is good and some may deserve criticism or question what was considered funny. It's actually one of the few episodes I find particularly bad .
