A happy famioly?

Warning: Spoilers
I agree that Althea should have known what it means to be a cop's wife since her dad was one and she lived a good part of her life at home with him. THEN in the las 5 minutes of the story she becomes the close and understanding wife. Hard to believe. But nice. However if you know the whole story, she does leave him and return to Philly. They go through lots of back and forth yet in their family life. Too bad it does not have a happy ending. Is it because she wants to leave the show or the writers think it makes for a more realistic ending. It was not a realistic marriage throughout - the policeman seemed not to know his wife's longings and the wife should have been able easily to know what it means for her husband to be continually facing danger.

Pressures at home

This episode concentrates on Althea and Virgil Tibbs and their domestic situation. You would think being the daughter of a policeman and married to one that AnneMarie Johnson would be used to the pressures. But it's all hitting her now.

Howard Rollins has other career plans, but to realize them he has to stay with the Sparta police for the present.

And while chasing malefactors Rollins has a very close call.
