She-Hulk has made two cameo appearances as a member of the Avengers in "Fantastic Four: The Animated Series (1994)" episodes To Battle the Living Planet (1995) and Doomsday (1996). However, "To Battle a Living Planet" would have to chronologically take place after "Nightmare in Green (1995)" even though it aired before the latter. "Nightmare in Green" featured a guest appearance by The Hulk/Bruce Banner who was antagonized by Dr. Doom in that episode as well and the two are familiar with each other in this episode as well.
The origin for She-Hulk in this episode has Jennifer Walters loose a lot of blood in a car accident after aiding her cousin Bruce Banner, who came to Washington D.C. to visit her, escape from Doombots. She's then captured and wired with bombs by Dr. Doom just so he could control the Hulk. In the comics, "The Savage She-Hulk" (vol. 1) #1, the origin took place in Los Angeles where Jennifer Walters was injured by hired assassins working for Nicholas Trask, an angry crime boss who came crossed paths with her father Sheriff William Walters and wanted to end Jennifer's investigations into his criminal activities. Otherwise, her origin was the same - her cousin Bruce had come to see her, she was injured, and out of desperation, he gave her a transfusion of his own gamma-enriched blood.
This episode shares a similar plot to Fantastic Four: The Animated Series (1994) episode, Nightmare in Green (1995), the first meeting between the Hulk and Doctor Doom in the Marvel Animated Universe, in where Doctor Doom wanted the power of the Hulk for himself.
When Jennifer is turning into She-Hulk, says "feels like somebody is lighting my fire" after mentioning it feels good. The expression refers to experiencing sexual pleasure; meaning she's enjoying it a bit too much.
