- [first lines]
- William 'Cully' Charles Jr., Deputy: Hi, Sam
- Sam: Cully.
- Johnny Ringo: Hello, Sam.
- Sam: Sheriff... Hey, got a big freight shipment for you. Come in on the train last night from Tucson.
- Johnny Ringo: Freight for me? I don't remember ordering anything.
- Sy Bonnell: Ringo, I want you to arrest these people.
- Johnny Ringo: On what charges?
- Sy Bonnell: Trespassing for one. Endangering the community for another. You can find some more.
- William 'Cully' Charles Jr., Deputy: Just what did they do?
- Sy Bonnell: Chaco here found them on top of Superstition Mountain over near the Yacqui burial caves.
- Johnny Ringo: What were they doing there?
- Sy Bonnell: Well, they're either fools or they're just plain sick. Said he was going to shoot the moon.
- Johnny Ringo: You know, Cully, it's funny us trying to find out about the moon.
- William 'Cully' Charles Jr., Deputy: Yeah?
- Johnny Ringo: So few of us know anything about our own world.
- [last lines]
- Bevinetto: Just think - one day, the heavens will be the new frontier without laws and guns and just as people have crossed the prairie in covered wagons, they may cross the great prairie of space to the moon and look beyond. I wonder if then, perhaps, the moon, too, will change for us.
- Johnny Ringo: For some, I think the moon will never change.
- [nods toward Cully and Lisa talking romantically in the moonlight]
