I thought this episode was a great nod to the superfriends.
Apache Chief, Black Vulcan, Samurai, and the Wonder Twins are all represented here.
This acknowledgment would have been good enough. It is unfortunate that this series degraded into the Saturday Morning Cartoon during its last season, while the prior season was the most intelligently written American Animation Adventure show I had ever seen. Every week uncovering the Government and Luthor sub plots was exciting. I wish they could have left the superfriends where they belonged, in the 70's.
That said, Long Shadow was a very successful crossover from Apace Chief, I was glad to see him appear in several additional episodes. The other characters were not explored too much.
