At the beginning of the show Doug has Cheetos on his chest which disappear when he starts getting up from the couch.
As Doug is crossing the goal line in slow motion you can see palm trees in the distance. No palm trees in Queens.
Close to the end of the episode, Carrie comes into the kitchen and Doug tells her that he's decided not to try out for the team, and she encourages him to go through with the try-out. When Carrie first comes into the kitchen, the back door is closed. After she sits down for the second time, when the camera cuts to Doug, the back door is visibly open in front of the blue cabinet, even though neither opened the door.
When talking to Carrie in the kitchen, you see that Doug dips his rolled ham into the mayonnaise and then in the next shot the mayonnaise is gone. He then dips the ham in the mayonnaise again.
When Deacon tells Doug that Kirby is in the van listening to Dan Fogleburg you can clearly see the camera equipment on the right of the screen.
Deacon walks into Doug's house and talks about Kelly since the divorce. They never divorced, just separated.
Deacon introduces Doug to the team as a former high school star running back. However it has already been told in a prior episode that Doug was an offensive lineman who made the big block to win the championship.
When Deacon and Kirby arrive at the Heffernan residence to sell candy, they enter the living room and the shadow of the boom mic is visible on the wall next to the front door.
