Home Sweet Home

Warning: Spoilers
Tom Simonite has finally given in to Mrs Averey's badgering and and moved in to his dad's home, but where did the brand new front door come from?

The old one wasn't even secured on its hinges, rather reminiscent of the late Compo.

Has Nora finally met her house proud match with Mrs Avery?

Barry is such a soft touch that it didn't even take Tom long, to get him sussed as a proper walley.

Tom is getting restless trying to keep up with the hectic pace set by Clegg, Trully and Billy in their OAP fast lane.

Tom truly is a Simonite he even seems to have what looks suspiciously like, the same debt collector chasing him that used to haunt his dad.

A club called OAF

It is the start of the 22nd series and Tom Simmonite has settled in well in Compo's old house. I assume he is renting it as Compo never owned it.

More importantly Nora Batty has noticed how clean the house is as Mrs Avery is cleaning it to her heart's content. Nora feels she has to try harder in the cleanliness stakes.

Tom has also drummed up some debt as a debt collector has come calling looking for him. Tom's puppet dog is conveniently used to drive the debt collector away.

Barry has been lumbered with a goat, part of Tom's menagerie that he has persuaded Barry to look after since Mrs Avery has told him to get rid off some of his old junk.

Keith Clifford has joined the series as a regular, the Robin Hood obsessed Billy who is trying to recall the name of a lad they were at school with. He wore woollen underwear that made him itch. The lads all try to recreate how he used to itch.

The ever tedious Howard has been coming up with even more daft ways for Clegg to contact him. He even starts a hiking club called OAF to Clegg's dismay.

Mike Grady has been getting more slapstick as Barry in recent episodes. As one of the 'younger' members of the casts he seems up to it.
