- Stone makes a deal with a group of low-level mobsters when they offer to testify that a crime boss murdered a missing union leader. However, the prosecution's case unravels at trial, causing all parties involved to walk.
- Sergeant Greevy and Detective Logan investigate the severe beating of a convenience store owner. A witness describes the attacker as a man wearing a suit and they soon have Joe Pilefski, a mob enforcer for the Mansucci crime family, in custody. They're not quite sure why a mob enforcer would be beating up an old man owning a small store but Logan realizes that the cigarettes he was selling don't have a tax stamp. Soon Pilefsky, Frank Mansucci's brother-in-law Harv Beigal and trucking company owner Mario Zalta charged with conspiracy. Executive ADA Stone see an opportunity to get Mansucci himself for the murder of a missing trucking union boss. He offers immunity to get testimony but it doesn't turn out as he had hoped.—garykmcd
- When the Russian merchant Mr. Spivak is assaulted in his store and almost killed, Sgt. Greevy and Mike investigate the case. They find the aggressor Joe Pilefsky, who is connected to the mafia and to the sale of cigarette packages without taxes.
