This is one of the best episodes of a TV western I've ever seen. It's beautifully put together, very intense and unrelenting. It plays more like a movie than a TV show. With a lot of TV western episodes you watch them and then forget them. This one is unforgettable.
Robert Ford killed Jesse James. Shot him in the back. And Jesse's friends didn't like that. They're going to get Ford one day. Some town somewhere. Some dusty street. They're going to make him pay.
Ford can't live with himself. He's a coward. Maybe he always was. He's got no fight left in him. He just wants to run. Running is what a man does when he has no more reasons to live. So he runs from himself. He runs from life. The only thing that can save him his death.
