Lucy gives a new meaning of what I. T. stands for in the best episode of "Life With Lucy" to air yet, one of the last but sadly too little too late. It's a very modern style episode with Lucy taking it upon herself to put in a computer system and in the process eliminates the inventory, orders dozens of lawnmowers by accident and has Gale Gordon's Craig declared deceased.
Dave Madden of "The Partridge Family" guest stars in this a above average episode that showed the potential of the series when they had good writing. A gimmick with a robot at the end of though does take it back to 60's style humor. This is probably Gale Gordon's best opportunity to react to Lucy's incompetence because while she means well, everything she touches seems to fail. It's very funny and it's a shame that other episodes didn't follow suit in modernizing the elements of the plot that could have kept it going for at least one full season.
