How to get rid of a grandma without really trying.

Warning: Spoilers
Lucy's at episode number three in her last sitcom and she's already had three major guest stars in episodes two and three. Here it's Peter Graves who proves his adeptness in sitcoms by being dashing as well as funny. He'll go on to date Rue McLanahan later on in an episode of "Golden Girls", and also romanced Doris Day in her last movie which was very sitcomish in nature. They get to dance a bit as old high school sweethearts and even end up on top of a skyscraper under construction having a picnic.

The episode is fine as long as it focuses on Graves and Ball, more romantic than funny, and that's a blessing considering the attempts at humor involving the grandchildren. That's Jenny Lewis who was a terrific bad seed as the sunshine scout who infamously stole Rose's teddy bear on "Golden Girls" but here she and Philip Amelio just prove to be in the way as far as irritating overly cute kids are concerned. Ann Dusenberry does finally get some good material as Lucy's daughter, and there's a great final moment for the still energetic Gale Gordon.
