Terrorists have taken control of a skyscraper downtown and have hostages. Sound familiar? Clearly, with an episode named "Fly Hard", this is a little homage from 'Lois and Clark' to Die Hard. There's no John McClane to save the day in 'Fly Hard', though.
Lex, Lois, Clark and Perry are at the Daily Planet late and are held at gunpoint by a crew of mercenaries led by a man called Fuentes (played by Robert Beltran, who, one year later, would be a key member of the 'Star Trek: Voyager' cast as Chakotay) who are after something from the Planet building's past. Unfortunately, Clark can't use his powers without outing himself in front of Lex and everyone else. A good episode for that very reason.
