A Boy And His Pony
hogwrassler18 February 2021
Vicious outlaws Bull Harper and Pecos escape from prison. With new clothes, guns, and horses they go to the home of Martha Clayton and her son Tommy. Martha's husband was wrongly imprisoned for murder. Bull has an engraved watch that belonged to the victim as well as a note exonerating Martha's husband. Bull demands money for the items, and Martha tells him that the one thing of value they have to sell is Tommy's beloved pony, Brownie. Tommy overhears this and runs away on Brownie. The Ranger and Tonto find Tommy and Brownie after Brownie has stumbled. He has a cut leg, but Tonto cures it with his "Indian salve." The Ranger and Tonto take Tommy and Brownie home, but Bull and Pecos get the drop on them. It looks bad for our heroes. Can Brownie save the day? Child actor Dennis Ross plays Tommy. He also appeared in an earlier season three episode, "Son by Adoption." Charles Stevens is Pecos. This is one of the few times he didn't play an Indian Chief. Adele Longmire plays Martha. She was the second of four wives of popular TV and movie supporting actor Arthur Franz. They had two children before divorcing. A good episode which features some excellent fast and skillful riding by the stunt men. Watch for those riding scenes.

Nazi Blanket
wmsmarketing26 September 2023
Just saw "Nazi" blanket on Antiques Road Show where they said it had been a popular design for many, many years until WWII came along. Even then they priced it at $225. They said it was much less than it would have been had the design not tainted. I use or researxh many older western shows. I was born in 52 and the children's shows had way more values than today.

I noticed Lee van Cleef more on early Lone Rangers than anywhere else.

I also couldn't find the old "blooper" section so I put my comments here.

I also noticed the boy took down rail to get pony out and next shot he took it off again! Lol.

Swastika?

The outlaws take a blanket off of their horses at the beginning of the episode. One of the blankets has swastikas all over it. How did no one catch this??
