- MESSAGE FOR MAUREEN concerns Maureen Mitchell, a tennis pro currently using a wheelchair en route to an operation. John Ballard, a sportswriter who has written some unkind things about her in his column, is now onboard.
THE ACAPULCO CONNECTION is April Lopez, a sprightly souvenir saleswoman who stows away onboard with her guitar, gets discovered in a laundry hamper, and winds up sharing quarters with Doc, much to his delight.
GOTCHA is the war cry of compulsive practical joker Cyril Wolfe, whose wife Anita is getting fed up with him after 20 years of marriage. So she and two fellow passengers, the Reverend and Martha Dickerson, conspire to turn the tables on him.
And while all this goes on, Julie tries to recruit the crew members to perform for the passengers during "That's Almost Entertainment" night in the ballroom.
