Phyllis Logan's exit
There's a plot in here somewhere involving an antique mirror, some ballet dancers and a fat kid.

None of that matters.

Important thing is that Alex's business interests have all failed, he's skint, and his receivers are selling the estate in bankruptcy to satisfy his creditors. Which means no more "Lady" Felsham. Just plain ol' Jane.

Tinker and Dim are worried they are gonna be left out in the cold. Lovejoy assures them that's not the case. And everyone has a good cry when a beloved Lovejoy series stalwart packs it in.

I'd imagine that when it aired it had a lot of the middle-aged cat ladies reaching for the facial tissues. On a binge watch, it's merely a nice sendoff to Logan and a bridge to the latter half of the Lovejoy cannon. But no more than that.
