Bad Casting

Chris announces that she and Ted Mooney are going steady. Lucy is uncomfortable with the situation and decides to break up the young couple using reverse psychology, which backfires because Chris is too savvy.

IMO Season 2 of The Lucy Show had way too many mediocre episodes like this. The treehouse scene goes on way too long and Lucy and Gale just seem to be going through the motions.

The casting of Michael J Pollard as Ted Mooney is terrible. They should have brought back Eddie Applegate who had played the role of Bob Mooney earlier in the season. Pollard makes very odd acting choices and gives awful line readings. Lucille Ball being the perfectionist she was, I am shocked she let this air as is.
