The season-opening Cleopatra episode was so bad, anything would look good in comparison. This is no stellar effort either but some small moments stand out - all of them from Vance.
Viv's recollections of the party games she played in her youth - each one a variation on kissing the opposite sex - are genuinely funny. The best bit is when Lucy starts handing off the helium-filled balloons for Viv to tie off - and she keeps accidentally letting them float up, up and away - her reactions are subtle but priceless! Lastly, Vivian looks great in her Annie Oakley garb, although her flip 'do is curled so tight in many of these Season 2 episodes it's a wonder she didn't suffer migraines!
The birthday party scene itself is too cluttered, it's a literal dog-and-pony show, but most people will remember this one for Lucy wafting through the air, rendered weightless by the bouquet of balloons that keep her suspended.
Bonus points for the makeup and set decoration to show off the new filming in color. The ladies' eyeshadow and the purple and turquoise throw cushions on the sofa really pop!
