Lucy is driving a 1952 Studebaker Commander Regal 2-door sedan.
In this episode Crawford's agent tells her that movie studios get thousands of letters a week asking for more Joan Crawford movies. Crawford's tells her agent that though flattered, she doesn't want to work anymore and has more than enough money to live on. In reality Crawford's career had spiraled down to nothing other than some tv guest spots, such as this, and campy B horror flicks. By 1968 Crawford's career was all but over and in addition far from having a lot of money she was living on a very fixed income after years of overspending. Unlike in this episode, Crawford's main residence in 1968 consisted of a modest apartment in New York. Crawford's sold her Brentwood mansion in 1955 and by 1968 only maintained a small apartment in Los Angeles for any trips she made to Southern California.
