- After Hawkeye makes an insulting remark about Margaret, Frank snaps him with a towel and Hawkeye responds with a nicely placed right cross to Frank's eye. Hawkeye is then placed under house arrest and instead of being treated like a criminal, he is treated like a conquering hero for what he did even to the point of getting some very tasty water buffalo steak and having movies shown in the Swamp. In the meantime, Colonel Reese, the woman in charge of all the nurses in Korea, arrives to observe Margaret and her staff and, for some strange reason, becomes attracted to Frank and tries to seduce him. Also, Radar begins acting very strangely, even having the hem in his pants let out three inches.—Brian Washington <Sargebri@att.net>
- Hotlips is nervous about a visit from Col. Reese, the most highly decorated nurse in Korea. Hotlips fumbles on a surgery so Hawkeye benches her. Livid, Hotlips begs Frank to defend her honor. Trapper swears Frank slipped on a bar of soap. But when he learns rest, relaxation and no surgery is part of house arrest, Hawkeye volunteers to be a 4077 POW. Everyone treats him like the Aga Khan: Hawkeye gets steak-alo and a Swamp-screened movie ("Leave Her to Heaven" with Gene Tierney) from 4077-ers who wish they had decked Frank themselves. Radar gets Klinger to tailor his pants; he expects to get a raise. Col. Reese comes on to Frank over blackberry brandy and when Hotlips walks in, things are not exactly "cordial."—LA-Lawyer
- After a trying day in O.R., Hawkeye offends Margaret, who turns to Frank to do something about it. Frank, in an act of sheer childishness, snaps a towel at Hawkeye, who in turn, in an act of sheer rage, belts him. Frank goes right to Henry Blake about the matter, while Trapper and Hawkeye deny it constantly. A dumbfounded Henry places Hawkeye under house arrest, while Frank endlessly taunts him. But when a renowned female colonel visits the camp, Frank tries to put the moves on her and she screams "Rape!", Frank finds himself under house arrest, being taunted by a benevolent Hawkeye.—<Explorerds6789>
- During surgery, Major Margaret Houlihan (Loretta Swift) is absent-minded and messing up because she is worried about a Colonel Reese coming to inspect her. Captain Hawkeye Pierce (Alan Alda) calls her out and then tells another nurse to take over. Afterwards, Hawkeye confronts Margaret over her clumsiness and tells her to stay out of the operating room if she cannot concentrate.
Margaret gets ruffled and demands Major Frank Burns (Larry Linville), her not-so-secret lover, punish Hawkeye for his comments. Frank takes a towel and whips Hawkeye on the butt while Hawkeye is washing his hands. Hawkeye stands up, dries his hands, and then punches Frank in the face, knocking him over. Frank court-martials Hawkeye for hitting a superior officer.
Lt. Colonel Henry Blake (McLean Stevenson) tries to get Frank to drop the charges, but Frank refuses. When Hawkeye finds out that a court-martial will mean he doesn't have to work and can stay in his tent with service, he agrees to be court-martials. Later, Colonel Reese (Mary Wickes) arrives. Meanwhile, Hawkeye is under house-arrest and is guarded by two MPs. Frank finds out that Reese is sharing Margarets tent and he cannot visit her while Reese is there. Margaret tells him to wait.
The next day, Henry interviews Trapper McIntyre (Wayne Rogers) who makes up a story about Frank slipping on bar of soap and hit his eye on the sink. Corporal Radar ORiley (Gary Burghoff) is taking notes for the interview when Corporal Klinger (Jamie Farr) comes in with Radars pants which he has lowered three inches. The others ask Radar why and Radar brushes them off. Later, Hawkeye is getting ready to eat in his tent while he winds Frank up. Trapper brings in Hawkeyes food and reveals that the Mess Sergeant has made him steak, from water buffalo. He shares it with Trapper and Father Mulcahy (William Christopher). Father Mulcahy gives Hawkeye a prisoner of war package, filled with toiletries and Oreo cookies.
In the operating room, Reese is observing Frank and Margaret operating and tells Margaret how to improve. It, then, becomes apparent that Reese is flirting with Frank, making Margaret jealous. Later that night, the movie scheduled for that evening is being shown in the Swamp so Hawkeye can watch the movie as he cant leave the tent. The cook brings popcorn and hot dogs and Henry keeps groping a nurse. The group discusses the movie and applauds when the two characters get engaged. Frank comes back to the tent and complains that a movie is being shown in his tent and that he cant get into his tent. He decides to talk to CO Henry about it.
Meanwhile, Radar and Klinger are working on Radar learning to walk in shoes that make him three inches taller, explaining why he had his pants lowered. Radar takes to the shoes pretty easy. Frank comes in and notices that there is something new about Radar and compliments him on the change. Then Frank leaves, once he finds out that Henry is at the movie. Frank goes to Margarets tent to find only Reese, as Margaret is on duty in Post-OP. Reese lets Frank cry on her shoulder and flirts with him, trying to seduce him. Outside, Hawkeye, on his way to the bathroom, notices Radar is using new shoes and tells Radar that inside Radar is 10 feet tall and doesn't need special shoes. Back in Margarets tent, Reese is getting Frank drunk and kisses him. Frank protests at first and Reeses gives him excuses. Reese seduces him by telling him about the promotions and transfers she can get for him. Frank gives in just as Margaret returns. Reese calls rape and the whole camp comes running. Frank tries to explain himself and Reese wants him court-martialed. Finding out about this, Margaret retracts her statement about what Hawkeye did to Frank and Hawkeye is set free while Frank is arrested instead. Frank complains when he doesn't get the same treatment Hawkeye got when he was on house arrest.
