The tent that Hawkeye and his bunkmates share is called The Swamp. In the first season episode "Sticky Wicket" it is revealed that Hawkeye was the one who came up with the name.
Per the title, a Sticky Wicket is an English metaphor used to describe a difficult circumstance, particularly in cricket.
Blake's eye shades would reappear years later as part of Charles Emerson Winchester's gear.
In the Epilogue, Hawkeye proclaims, "Lafayette, I am here!" This refers to a quote spoken in front of a French Revolutionary War soldier's tomb as the U.S. entered WWI in 1917. A U.S. General declared, "Lafayette, we are here." Signifying that the U.S. was repaying its debt to France for aiding in our fight for independence from Britain.
