The Korean war saw the largest number of orphanages set up in Korea, with the war causing more than 100,000 parent-less homeless children. As per the Korean war children's memorial, by the end of the war (1954) there were about 400 registered orphanages in Korea, most of them supported by donations from personnel of the US Armed forces.
"Sparky", the switchboard operator that Radar frequently calls at I-CORPS, was only seen once during this episode, played by the late Dennis Fimple. Although a first name is never given, he is revealed to be a sergeant whose last name is Pryor.
Tuttle's parents names are "Harry" and "Frieda" Tuttle. They were named after the real life parents of the show's producer Larry Gelbart.
