- Jamie Stemple Buchman: It's just been too much.
- Paul Buchman: Too much what?
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: You, me, us, together... you.
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: See? We can be in the same room and not talk. Look at us. We're doing it right now.
- [Paul nods, still looking at his book]
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: I don't know where this myth comes from that married couples have to keep talking to each other all the time or it means there's something wrong. I mean, look: There's nothing wrong. We're not talking and we're doing just great.
- [Paul continues reading]
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: Why are you ignoring me?
- Paul Buchman: So in other words...
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: You were right.
- Paul Buchman: But more importantly...
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: I was wrong.
- Paul Buchman: There you go.
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: And I missed you this week.
- Paul Buchman: We were together every minute!
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: I know. I didn't have time to think about you, to miss you. I missed missing you.
- Paul Buchman: [Confused] I... I have such a headache now.
- Paul Buchman: [Jamie walks toward the window] Where you going now?
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: Nowhere. Just thought I'd sit on the fire escape for a while.
- Paul Buchman: We don't have a fire escape.
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: I know.
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: I just need a little space.
- Paul Buchman: What are you angry about?
- Jamie Stemple Buchman: Oh, I'm not angry. I'm not. I'm just sick of the sight of you.
