- Magnum shoots and kills a man in cold blood in order to prevent him from assassinating anymore of the world's dignitaries. It is clear from the context that this amounts to a murder. This is especially shocking given Magnum's demeanor up until this point in the series.

- A flashback to a prison camp Magnum and T.C. are in shows a soldier named Cookie being shot in the leg in cold blood by the villain, Ivan. The bullet damages the soldier's femoral artery. The blood spurts from the wound in a fairly realistic approximation of a major arterial wound, which is quite shocking in its presentation, both for the series and for the era in which the show was produced. The victim screams in pain in a disturbing manner. It is alluded that the soldier dies from the wound.
