Bellisario's sense of humor

OK, so Magnum P.I. wasn't his best work. Probably not too many people picked up on this but in the beginning scene when the young prince was running away through the market he ran down an alley and the camera flashed the street sign on the corner and the name of the street was Sing Loy. Phonetic Vietnamese for "sorry". It did create a chuckle.

Bad News Bears

Warning: Spoilers
Wesley Ogata plays a Jororo Prince in this Bad News Bears themed episode, Jororo Farewell. Anyway, Wesley Ogata has a lot of charisma and it appears he didn't pursue an acting career after Jororo Farewell.

Robert Ito, who was a leading actor in the 70s series Quincy, M. E., guest stars in Jororo Farewell. Marcus Shimomi also guest stars as Benny.

Anyway, I'm enjoying watching the early seasons of Magnum, P. I., and seeing the sunny beaches and the streets of Honolulu. I haven't caught up on the reboot as I have no interest in it. Anyway, Jororo Farewell is worth watching and has that Bad News Bears feel to it.

Jororo Farewell

Warning: Spoilers
I've always watched Magnum PI when I was growing up, and haven't missed an episode. The episode Jorono Farewell had the most surprising twist to all the shows. The moral to the show was great knowing that a 12 year old should be treated like an adult and should be, but under some circumstances you may have to make exceptions like in the last scene where 12 year old Jororo gets spanked was a shocker, but really did deserve it. When adolescents do wrong, sometimes they need to be punished as children. Older children need to be talked to like adults and respected until a certain point, but before adolescent age, there has to be a some correction and discipline as well to help guide their behavior like what happened in the last scene in the movie.
