Respect for cultural traditions
jkfabrizio22 December 2021
I love this episode because it emphasizes the respect for traditions that can exist between cultures. The plot is formulaic but the characters pull it all together. Nehemiah Persoff never gives a false or weak performance. I think it's a sweet, heartwarming episode.

Guest starring France Nuyen

Warning: Spoilers
The title of this episode is a play on the famous World War Two movie Tora, Tora, Tora. But this time it's about a torah, hence the title Torah, Torah, Torah. Screen legend France Nuyen guest stars, along with Nehemiah Persoff. Believe it or not, Nehemiah Persoff live to 102, passing away in 2022. Quite remarkable indeed that's for sure.

The ending is quite moving and kind of reminded me of Schindler's List. Anyway, this episode has stock shots from world war two, and refers to Shanghai. It's quite interesting that many of the user reviews are from only the past three or so years, so I guess it's a renewed interest in Magnum.

Skip this one, the weakest episode of the weak Season 5.
