A Great Episode Starring Jack Benny

Well into its seventh season, "Make Room for Daddy" produces this winning episode starring Jack Benny. Jack and Danny demonstrate the fine line between comedy and drama with a script that manages to delve into both simultaneously.

Gale Gordon plays Lucifer himself in this marvelous retelling of the story about selling one's soul for success. The guys are up to the task, and the result might remind some of a particular Benny film.

Jack Benny working with Danny Thomas in this "Make Room For Daddy" episode shows us all how two comedy masters work so well together. Jack Benny gets the most out of his famous comic catchphrase "Well!" Gale Gordon, who would later star as Mister Mooney in the "Here's Lucy" television show, has a surprising part to play in this episode. There are a lot of things to say about this episode, but most of what could be said would give away the storyline and ruin the jokes. I recommend that you sit down with your family and watch two comic geniuses at work in this laugh out loud television episode that is still funny some fifty-four years later.
