Adapted into a paperback novel credited to the pen name J.T. MacCargo. Published in 1975 by Belmont Tower Books. The novel was the first in a series of four paperbacks adapted from television scripts.
The last on-screen appearance of Norman Shelly.
The beginning of this story, where a man is caught standing in front of the murder victim with the gun in his hand (but not really the killer) is reused again almost exactly a year later in Walk a Double Line (1974). The rest of the story is different.
