When Joe and Lt. Tobias are at the psychic's house, in the initial wide shot Lt. Tobias briefly picks up a pill bottle and then sets it back down on the table with the top of the bottle pointed towards himself. Then when the camera switches to a closeup shot of Joe, the top of the bottle is now pointed in a completely different direction which is approximately 90 degrees counterclockwise from where it was originally pointed. Then when the camera switches to the wide shot again, the top of the bottle is pointed once again towards Lt. Tobias.
When Mannix drives over to Jennifer's apartment it is night time. After he gets there, and the two of them have to escape a gunman, the whole time they are running it is suddenly daytime. When they reach the barn at the climax of the chase, it's suddenly night time again.
Mannix is shown a current newspaper dated September 1973. Soon after, the first appearance of the "Girl in the Polka Dot Dress" shows her outside the Glendale Hotel and near a blue and red mail box . The post office changed mail boxes to all blue in 1971 from the old blue and red colors.
When Emory Davis (Alfred Ryder) first approaches Joe Mannix about his vision of the girl in the polka dot dress, he shows Mannix the evening paper, which Mannix notes has a date of September 10. When Peggy later learns where the dress was purchased, Mannix asks her the date it was paid for and she says, "September 12." Mannix comments that that was the date Emory Davis first came into his life -- even though it is off by two days.
