Mannix's search for clues brings him to a music recording studio where he walks in on a rehearsal by the psychedelic bubblegum band The Peppermint Trolley Company. They perform their September 1968-released single "Trust" as Mannix listens and looks on approvingly.
During the opening sequence, the ambulance footage is stock film used numerous other times. The same Safeway sign and other landmarks are seen.
The truck Susan Ward drives is a 1959 Ford Custom Cab.
Just before Mannix confronts Susan Ward in Table Rock, she is shown leaning on a post next to a red lantern. The lantern is a Coleman with the logo covered by yellow tape.
The band seen recording music in the studio, The Peppermint Trolley Company, recorded the original theme for The Brady Bunch (1969), which was used for the first season of the series but re-recorded with different singers after the band left their record company in 1970.
