Towards the end, a New Scotland Yard policeman holds a M-16. The M-16 is an American military weapon and would not have been used by British police in 1977. Rather, if British special weapons police were to use a military weapon, it would have been the L1A1 (the British version of the Fabrique Nationale FAL) that the Royal Army was using in the 1970s.
When the picture of the criminals is shown, the character of James Rothwell (played by Roger Newman) is repeatedly singled out and his photograph has obviously been doctored into the picture.
Lord Bridges gets his hands on a microfilm and somehow manages to look at the contents using a slide projector. When he gets to the last one the picture zooms in on James Rothwell (played by Roger Newman). It is impossible to zoom in on a slide like that.
