As Barney is controlling the sound on the tape machine he is actually adjusting the microphone record level controls.
A transparent overlay is used to show an occluded artery on an X-ray. When viewed the artery appears over a rib instead of under it as would be realistic, yet the doctor does not notice it. Also the artery would not show up that clearly unless a special dye was administered before the x-ray was taken.
In the rail yard a sign is in a foreign language "No Klimden" as it should be, but the freight cars are all American freight cars including one that has big letters NP (Northern Pacific) on the side.
