Made for both British and American television. The first series of The Muppet Show had an eclectic guest list.

Not all of the names would be familiar to an international audience.

Bruce Forsyth is a legendary name to Brits. Even in his later career he went on to become the original host of Strictly Come Dancing. The show renamed as Dancing with the Stars in the rest of the world.

Here Bruce is introduced as a showman. A singer, dancer, he plays music and tells jokes.

Bruce even takes time to give Fozzie some tips to respond to hecklers Statler & Waldorf.

In some ways, Bruce was the perfect guest for the Muppets. He could do it all and he responds well with the Muppets.

Brucie meets Kermie

Clips of this episode did the rounds when Sir Bruce sadly died earlier this year, so I thought I'd watch it in full.

Fozzie ropes in Bruce to help him deal with the old men in the balcony heckling him in this 13th episode of 'The Muppet Show'.

Brucie is on top form here, interacting marvellously with the Muppets, whilst also getting to show off what a great song and dance man he was.

A classic episode of a classic show.
