One of the characters claims someone is "gaslighting" him, meaning that someone wants him to think he is going crazy. This term came from Gaslight (1944), which was Angela Lansbury's first movie.
CBS moved "Murder, She Wrote" back to its traditional Sunday night at 8 pm time slot beginning with this episode and continuing for the final four episodes of the series. In a highly controversial move at the beginning of the 1995-96 television season, the network moved "Murder, She Wrote" to Thursday nights...and ratings for it and "Cybill", the show that replaced "Murder, She Wrote" on Sunday nights, both declined.
