It's obvious that Lauren Lane and Daniel Davis are having a blast in this scene where C.C., waiting for Maxwell, reacts to who she thinks is him by asking him what he wants her to do. Niles' look is priceless as he responds, and Lane's buildup to her scream is priceless. The main plot concerns Fran's meeting with an old pen pal whom she's never met. Of course, Maxwell has to tag along and spoil everything, but at least Fran gets to kiss the sexy Greek band member at the Russian tea room. The episode's funniest moments involve Niles and C.C., even it's our sudden kiss comes completely out of left field. That storyline takes off here and will be slowly dealt with over the next four seasons, giving the show a second complicated relationship to deal with even though in the scheme of what has happened over the first two seasons, it really isn't all that believable even if elements of it are entertaining.
