Not this critic's choice.

Warning: Spoilers
While he may be a fan favorite on "The Young and the Restless", Eric Braeden has never been my glass of dom perignon. There is a coldness in his acting that makes him, with or without "the mustache" (his scathing nickname as Victor Newman) rather frigid in a leading romantic role. Here, he's Victor Newman as a theater critic, Frank Bradley, a nasty man who uses his position to bully producers, as well as having trained his young son (Miko Hughes) to be equally as obnoxious to his classmates (in this case Gracie) and criticize their school work. One scene with Braeden compares him to Miss Gulch in "The Wizard of Oz". There's some funny moments and a decent pay-off, but the story is difficult to get into. I find myself moving ahead to the next episode rather than subject myself to the torture of watching Braeden and Hughes.
