The Last Waltz (#3.4)
ComedyFan201017 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Marissa goes to a new public school now and has trouble adjusting there. She finds some new friends and Ryan gets jealous. But after going to a school dance with them she goes back to him. Summer organizes school dance and Taylor takes credit for it. After Summer sees her make out with the dean.

Marissa is such a whiner. Guess she has never been unpopular in her life that she has such trouble in the new school. She is pretty lucky with getting some friends to take care for her there.

I think the whole Taylor thing will end up being very fun now. This is the one thing to look forward to, and I really want to see Julie get back on her feet!

Warning: Spoilers
Just a little summary of some of the things that happen during the episode ..... most of the things happen to Marissa (!)

Marissa begins school at Newport High. Marissa moves in with Summer because the debt collectors come to Julies to reclaim Caleb's debts. Charlotte propositions Kirsten with a business proposal. One of the Newport high girls learns that Marissa was kicked out for shooting someone. Marissa makes three friends at N/H. Marissa goes to the school dance only to be followed by Ryan later to check up that she isn't cheating on him. Summer catches Taylor and Dean Hess kissing during the 'end of summer' dance.

.... I really enjoyed this episode ... having watched the first series but missed the second series due to working on a Sunday when it was on in the uk ... (gutted!!) .... i was really looking forward to this series and so far it has failed to disappoint ... highly recommended viewing!!

The O.C. goes dancing, but this won't be the last waltz it takes.

Warning: Spoilers
Marissa struggles with attending a public high school, and her new friends make Ryan jealous; Charlotte's ruse is up when she learns that Kirsten did not inherit any money from Caleb; Julie's mansion is repossessed, leaving her with nothing; Taylor's power play dethrones Summer as committee chairman, who then learns an interesting secret about her and Dean Hess.

Seth continues being less selfish by protecting Summer in front of the dean. Also he listens to Ryan's problems without talking about himself, that's a huge sigh of growing up.

It was really funny to see the friends Marissa made at Newport Union, they were resembling Seth, Summer and Ryan.

I still can't believe Taylor used to be such a pain in the butt, specially with Summer.

so much angst

Warning: Spoilers
Best part is seeing Julie in a low-grade motel room . . . finally.

Weak writing when it comes to antagonists -- they're caricatures. First Luke who started out a real angry thug then was humanized, Julie who has no morals, Trey who was just bad all the way until the bus moment, Eric, oh man, what to say there, and now this dean dude making it w/ a youn'un and breaking the law. Holy crap, Batman, what or . . . Who is next?
