Lindsay leaves, Summer returns and things are as normal as they can be!
aura77216 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
It's a rainy day in Newport where Lindsay decides to take the DNA test and makes a difficult choice regarding her life with Caleb while Ryan helps her through it. Sandy still wants to help Rebecca with her case and tries to convince her not to run again. Kirsten is still upset and wishes her marriage would go back to normal and for Rebecca's case to be over with. Meanwhile, Seth thinks he's lost Summer forever until Summer is unable to hide from her feelings once and for all. Marissa moves out of the Cooper-Nichol mansion and moves in with Alex after she tells her mother about Alex being her girlfriend.

Ryan has a shock when he watches outside the pool house, Seth has the same "WTF?" look as Ryan. None of them actually wants to go out in the rain, so they talk on the phone.

Seth is complaining about money, like how to make them to buy the "Summer Breeze" back. Why doesn't he asks his parents for money, they have plenty enough to let his son buy what he wants.

That Rebecca is such a sl*t! How can she do that to Sandy and pretend she cares about him? She doesn't, because he clearly loves Kirsten more then anything. He's ready to walk home for her! :)) The scene when Kirsten under an umbrella was waiting for Sandy at the bus station was really cute! Seth's parents are really putting themselves on the map for parents every kid would want! The Spider-Man kiss between Seth and Summer was the highlight of the season! Maybe the entire show! This is by far one of the best episodes of the entire show!

The Rainy Day Women (#2.14)
ComedyFan201014 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
It is a nasty rainy day and all women (and men tbh too) deal with their problems. Sandy is away with Rebecca but after the accident they have is willing to get back to Kirsten no matter what. Lindsay goes back after paternity test. Marissa tells Julie who her girlfriend is. And Summer changes her mind of going to Tuscan with Zach and is back with Seth.

I must say a lot of things in the episode bothered me, but I still like it. For once I don't get why Caleb is shamed for wanting a paternity test. It is not like she was living with him all her life and he should be obliged to see her as a daughter no matter what. Then yes, I could see it could hurt.

Julie was great in this episode. The whole thing with Kirsten was annoying as I don't think her treatment of Sandy was right.

Now, the greatest thing that happened in this episode for most OC fans: Seth and Summer are back together. I must say it bothers me less than the idea of it did in the first season. I feel they made her less annoying and stupid (maybe in the first season lots of people really wanted him with Anna instead). But the way it went kind of sucked. The whole thing of her going from the airport was cheesy and I felt bad for Zach until his reaction which was absolutely senseless and just made it look as if the writers were too lazy. And what the hell was Seth doing going up on the roof? But yes, the Spiderman scene was cute.

Can't believe this episode has such high rating

I don't get why people ship Summer and Seth. Summer actually grew as a person compared to how she was but Seth is simply one of the most selfish character of all time in TV history. All he cares about is himself. He wanted his parents to take Ryan in only because Ryan was the only friend he could have. Not because it was a kind thing to do. He 24*7 whines about Summer and doesn't care about other people's problems. He is creepy af. The writers are too lazy to bring in any interesting characters and they are also sending away a good character too.

Lesson from this episode: being a creep pays off
interestingstuff17 September 2022
So Summer leaves Cohen but Cohen can't take it so he starts stalking, following, disturbing and harassing Summer nonstop 24/7 for many many days, weeks and months and it finally pays off when Summer gives in to his nonstop harassing. So the lesson from this episode is if someone breaks up with you or turns you down, just harass them forever until they finally give in and "no" just means "harass me more until I say yes".

Cohen has been a complete creep this entire season and he finally gets his pay off so this show tells you that it's not only ok to be a total creep but it's actually a great thing. In fact, this episode basically says "being a total creep is the most romantic thing a guy can possibly do".
