Why Doesn't Marissa Trust Ryan?
Lonelyboylover6915 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Time and time again Ryan follows his intuition and is right, yet naive Marissa doesn't trust him! He clearly has some street smarts, but Marissa always thinks he's wrong. Oliver just magically showed up at this school. Where are this child's parents? Ryan breaks into the school to snoop into Oliver's file. For a private school, the security at this place sucks.

This Danny guy is not funny. Summer is using this poor fool to get under Seth's skin which is working. And Anna sees it all.

I love how Luke is now part of the gang. Even he is suspicious of Oliver.

Side note: Julie Cooper's new hair is not cute.

New beginnings for some, the beginning of the end for others.
aura7729 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Sandy and Jimmy have plans to sign papers for the Lighthouse... but is Jimmy ready? Oliver makes his plans official to Ryan, but Ryan just cannot catch a break from anyone and finds himself in an all too familiar position. Summer has a "big" new boyfriend... for a little while. And Julie gets a job.

Ryan is back to old habits, Oliver is even more of a creep, Summer has a "big boyfriend", Seth wonders if Anna is the female him, and Marissa is just being Marissa.

What in the world is wrong with Seth and Marissa? Marissa said Ryan that she loves him and then she spend all of her time with another guy? How come she's mad at Ryan, she's the guilty one, I think Marissa is really stupid sometimes.

Seth said that she had a crush on Summer since he was like ten! How come when she finally notices him, he chooses to be with another girl?

The Rivals (#1.17)
ComedyFan20106 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Oliver transfers into their school. Ryan is suspicious and looks into his file where he finds out that Oliver tried to commit suicide over a girl. He is caught for that and put into detention. He also breaks into Marissa's locker and gets a letter Oliver wrote which makes Marissa want to break up with him.

The Oliver story gets a bit better. He is sure an interesting character. And they did some good spins in this episode, including the letter not even being for Marissa and Ryan screwing it up.

Am glad to see Jimmy and Sandy getting the restaurant together. And what is wrong with Seth? Finding yourself of the opposite sex is the best thing that can happen to anyone.

I really wanna know who's idea it was for this storyline

They're making Marissa seem so dumb, and I hate storylines that are this annoying and frustrating to watch. It's just insane how easily people are just not believing or even bothering to care about Ryan's concerns. I thought at least Seth would but nope....

Enough of the "Obsessed" storyline
benaggie1 August 2018
Ok, don't get me wrong, I love the cast, the direction, soundtrack, etc. and I know I can't (as I'm writing this is 2018) change a plot line that happened 15 years ago, but the crazy, sociopathic, obsessed lover plot has been so played out over the years. Wish they had tossed this arc and done something else.
