Victor says "In the name of God, go!" quietly under his breath. Later when it's played back on a voice recording machine, he is shouting it.
The salesman who storms out of the Meldrew's house definitely picks up his personal recording device before leaving. However, moments after he has left, Margaret picks up the same device from the floor, and Victor uses it several times afterwards.
Tired of having to repeat himself to his hard of hearing brother Wilfred, Victor uses a dictating machine to record his voice and play it back. At one point he says, "Where have you been? I thought you'd flushed yourself down the toilet in error." When it's played back to Wilfred, the recording says "Where have you been? We thought you'd flushed yourself down the lavatory in error".
When the young mother pushes the toddler in his buggy through her front door, she leaves him facing away from the door. However, when the garbage comes through the letter box, the toddler watches fascinated, so must be facing the door. Yet, since he is strapped into the buggy, he is no position to turn round.
