Of all the things that wouldn't seem likely two of them happen in this episode. For one Jerry actually connects with a girl, and Shelley actually develops a connection with a guy. The extra weird part is their connections in one another. As logical as it is (they're both freshman and both normally fail miserably when trying to find love) this pair normally wouldn't have ever had a start. Thankfully (and as I've pointed out before) Nick Comstock performed his subtle and yet critical role of helping fate along. It's cool watching the way the two help each other a long with their individual faults as well. Jerry is normally uptight and paranoid and yet around Shelley he's more coolheaded. Shelley is also normally sort of coarse and domineering and yet around Jerry she also mellows out. This lends to future episodes watching the two on and off again.
