Attack of kindness
JordanThomasHall22 July 2020
Patty snoops and reads a paper Ross wrote for class complimenting her and how she would build a midget derby race car for him. Sweetly impressed, she immediately begins secretly building the car. She angrily keeps him away from the patio where she's working on the car. Martin overhears the exchange and talks to her about being nice and appreciative of Ross. He grounds her with Natalie also expressing her disappointment. Patty still wishes to keep the car a secret. However, Martin finds out and apologizes. When Ross comes to the patio, Martin gives him the same treatment to keep the secret, and soon Natalie does as well. An upset Ross decides to runaway. A comical revelation is made.

Experts at conscientious treatment, the way Martin and Natalie act are out of character and unrealistic in the episode. They would have tactfully kept Ross away from the patio without hurting his feelings in the same manner they were upset with that Patty did. The revelation at the end is nice, however, and makes the episode seem better than it was, in my opinion.
