From her "Young Set" magazine, Patty begins a pen pal correspondence with "Lancelot", a self-described ideal boy. She quickly falls for him after reading his sweet, sensitive letters. Patty's interest in Richard rapidly dwindles. Patty breaks up with Richard, and they say their goodbyes. Unknown to anyone else, he is Lancelot. He tells Patty he may have someone else, not knowing she is his pen pal Guinevere. They agree to meet in person at the malt shop. A truth revealed may go against expectation.
