The waterfront scene with Tony Raeburn (Lester Vail) was filmed at Malibou Lake near Agoura Hills, California. The location was also used in The Case of the Angry Mourner (1957) and The Case of the Angry Dead Man (1961).
Two 1959 Edsels are seen in this episode. Both appear in scenes involving the character Fred Bushmiller. He walks past a light colored two door at the beginning of the episode and a convertible when Bushmiller drives off in a 1957 Thunderbird.
Three of the actors had parts in North by Northwest (1959): Ned Glass, Malcolm Atterbury, and Frank Baker.
