- Eugene becomes a Superior Court Judge, and is furious when his first case includes Alan Shore. Shore tries to fend off the advances of a co-worker, and Bobby Donnell tries to sidestep a final farewell party with the members of the practice.—Gerald William Parks
- The end to a wonderful and entertaining 8 years. The show, even with it's ups and downs kept on the edge of hour seats wanting more year after year. Just as we all agreed that the show had gone as far as it could take us, enter James Spader (as Alan Shore the unethical, immoral, embezelling and most enjoyable new character in a show in years) and William Shatner (as Denny Crane, need I say more?)in the roles of their lifetimes and the biggest treat and best spinoff since Laverne and Shirley. Spader had us hooked from his first minute to this last hour, when Eugene (who newly appointed to the state Supreme court) just "happens to get Alan Shore (Spader) as his first appointed case and has Spader stand up and say "Eugene, My buddy!--"Cambers" need we say more. 8 years and now Boston Legal that we hope can go further. Cheers to The Practice for being and Cheers to Boston legal for continuing for as many years as we can get out of it. David Kelly, from all of us, thank you for all the years of entertainment you've supplied us with. Court is Adjourned
