A live action series with Gerry Anderson as Executive Producer and made by Lew Grade's ITC.

So expect an American star, blue screen, stock footage and the English countryside standing in for foreign locales.

Robert Vaughn brings class as Harry Rule a wealthy crime fighter living in London. He teams up with Contessa Caroline di Contini (Nyree Dawn Porter) and Paul Buchet (Tony Anholt.)

The first episode is so early 1970s with girls dancing in cages in some swinging nightclub with Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love playing in the background.

It is an exciting initial episode. A scientist who has created synthetic gold, his colleagues have suddenly died and the scientist is about to perform a stunt parachute jump for a movie. However Harry figures his life is in danger and must find the villains led by Man 3.

It is entertaining tosh, it helps that the episodes were only 30 minutes long. I never rated Anderson's live action shows that much. The theme song sang by Tony Christie is a cracker.
