In the opening scene the dog pulls on a towel under a plate of eggs and the plate falls off the counter and breaks. In the next camera angle the plate and towel are back on the counter.

Some of the teenage characters talk about plans for the Mardi Gras dance. Mardi Gras was nearly five months away from the time the story is set; talking about the Homecoming dance would make more sense.
In the van during the kidnapping, Kevin appears to have a black eye and other scrapes and bruises. However, the next morning, at breakfast and school, he is completely unscathed and injury-free. Not a goof: Kevin has dirt on his face, not a bruise. A bruise would not show up in such a short time.
Sam says that Magnum, P.I. (1980) will continue to run for the next eight years. In actual fact, Magnum ran for another six years and seven months after the time period Sam leaped to for this episode. Not a goof: It has already been established that Sam's memory has become Swiss cheese.
When Sam and Al are in the station wagon, pursuing the van, the shot cuts to a view of the road and van when they spot the van. In this shot, the car and van are stationary, not moving in relation to the road, with the camera just jiggling a little bit to convey the impression of motion.
Kevin's name is not revealed until Sam uses it and he had no way of knowing it.
