Warning: Spoilers
What a great vehicle this show was for the talents of Scott Bakula. He had already established his chops in folkie/soft rock with his heartfelt, tenor rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine." He showed off *amazing* Broadway-style chops with his baritone-tenor work with selections from _Man of La Mancha__. But could he rock?

Oh, my, yes. The man demonstrates distinct headbanger potential in this episode -- and looks really good from behind in those 70s-style jeans! What a versatile performer. Bakula's clearly an extremely intelligent person himself. Otherwise, he would not be so multi-talented. No wonder he can convince us he's the ultra-turbo-brain-equipped Sam Beckett.

Sam can really sing
mady-522 July 2006
This episode was always one of my favourites as it showed that Sam/Scott is a very good singer and the face make-up was great, in fact I found Tonic/Sam/Scott more attractive with it on it gave a air of mystery about the character. I also found I was singing Rock the Redhead more than once several days after seeing the show.

having seen the entire five seasons at least twice - admitted several years apart I find the idea of a time traveller 'putting right what once went wrong' very appealing. I hope we can one day have an updated version of the adventures of Sam Beckett (not forgetting Al of course) but with the same actors - after all it was mentioned once or twice in various episodes that both Al and Sam aged several years as the project continued, so why not seeing Sam and Al as they are after ten or so years of Sam's leaping in time.

Warning: Spoilers
Great epi! One of the top 10 of the series. Scott Bakula rocks this sh$t and I can't get the song out of my head now! πŸŽΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ€ Yes, Scott Bakula sings everything throughout the entire series. It's great. I'm going to look on YouTube and see if I can find a clip of this because it rocks!

She stood six foot four barely fit through the door But her hair was the color of fire She said baby what you need some horizontal speed And I'm the one to take you desire Baby let me take you higher

Rock the redhead All night Rock the redhead So right Rock the redhead Tonight Baby take me higher Baby take me through the night

Rock the redhead All night Rock the red head So right Rock the redhead Tonight Baby take me higher Baby take me through the night

Yeah yeah yeah Rock the redhead.

Rock on!
This was one of the great episodes. I caught a goof in it though, as it was set in I think 1974, and the manager said he created them... wrong! KISS was rocking hard and strong in '74, and they were in full-dress make-up... it sounded like he was taking credit for their look, it just sounded wrong. True die-hard KISS fans would have caught that and not been pleased with him! I agree, the song, 'Rock The Redhead,' although being a bit suggestive lyrically, was very catchy; the music was red-hot, I wish they had added a few more lyrics, it was great. I sing it a lot too. I loved the other one more though; 'Somewhere in The Night' from Piano Man is so beautiful, it is haunting and I simply cannot get it out of my head! I made video clips of both, then turned them into audio files... now I need an exorcist to get them out of my head! Pity he didn't do a bit more with music in Q L! He was very good!

I counted 97 episodes. This one is a solid hit, easily one of the Top Ten best Leaps of all time.

Quantum Leap
cc8686200022 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Actually in 2006 or 2007 there was supposed to be a 2 hour Quantum Leap TV movie set 20 years in the future in which Al(Dean Stockwell) is a hologram to Sam's daughter who goes Quantum Leaping after Sam because Sam never made a leap home when the series finished. Although season 5 episode 1 had Sam actually make it home when Sam and Al switched places where Sam is the hologram and Al is the leaper. I always thought the series was quite good all 97 episodes were good but I couldn't quite get the fact of why Sam's memory is like Swiss cheese but it doesn't really matter and it was quite interesting to see who Sam would leap into for the next episode. I think it would have been nice to see that Sam made it home and then have a series of reunion movies that Sam would have to prove that leaping can be done
