500 years ago in New Guinea, a spear was forged who can give supernatural powers to anyone cut with it. However, these powers only last for a limited time. Sydney and Nigel defend this spear against a bad guy who is an exact lookalike of Nigel, but killed by a trap. Nigel is asked by Interpol agent Cate to take over the part of that bad guy so they may find out more about the organization he worked for. Nigel was accidentally cut by the spear and temporarily possesses those supernatural powers, but he doesn't know they don't last and might leave him just when he needs them...
There must be some kind of unwritten law for TV series that one episode during the long run needs to deal with a Doppelganger, some kind of villain who can easily be confused with one of the good guys. So, the idea goes back to the days of silent movies, but it is put to good use here. Sydney is hardly appearing, this episode belongs to Nigel who can wear black and be a mean tough guy, must be great fun to Christien Anholt to play a different character for once.
